Union Minister Smriti Irani rebukes the DIOS over negligence in work during a phone call:

The Union Minister was approached by a daily wage complaint from the Government Teachers' Union. After hearing the issue, Smriti Irani called the DIOS. A debate ensued between the DIOS and the Member of Parliament. Advising the officer, Smriti Irani said, "This is Amethi, where the public easily reaches out to its representative with all their testimonies."
The Union Minister reprimanded the officer upon reaching Ramdayalpur village in Amethi's development block. During her three-day tour, Smriti Irani listened to problems in various villages on the second day.
