In 1930, a pipeline was laid to supply water to Murree, Pakistan's busiest hill station. This track follows the pipeline from Donga Gali to Ayubia, a distance of 4 kilometers. It is a very easy walking track and takes 40 to 50 minutes, one-way. The altitude is around 8,200 ft.
Pipeline Track in Dunga Gali of Galiyat near Murree is one of the most famous tracks of Pakistan's Northern areas. It is situated on Murree-Nathia Gali road and you can easily reach there. It is a 4-kilometer-long track with one end in Gunga Gali and the second end in Ayubia. It is a family track as it is easy to walk on and without any dangerous turns or deep trenches. It offers spectacular lush green views in summer and snow all around in winter.
A remarkable discovery was made while digging a pit for a plantation in Ayubia National Park in northern Pakistan when a 100-year-old British-era tunnel was found from a trash mound. The historic ’Moto Tunnel’ built-in 1891, which was buried in a garbage dump due to neglect, has now been restored to its original glory by the Ministry of Climate Change.
