He's been going here annually for many years. Definitely one of his favorite spots and is very excited to show you this amazing and beautiful lake - where people cliff dive and rope swing during the summer months.

He starts this awesome and bumpy off-road outdoor adventure at the Bear Lake overlook. Then drive along the historic Oregon trail from Garden City, to Bloomington Idaho. It's so gorgeous here of full of free camping spots ( by the river ), but for tents only. You can camp by the river or the lake, ( for a fee } Middle Fork would be a better option for big rigs. There is a lot of wildlife around here too.

The first part of this hiking trail is pretty steep but then is mellows out. You'll pass by Alpine Lake (where the moose like to hang out) before you get to Bloomington, which is at about 8,200 ft. Remember the water is freezing temps - and it's more like a polar bear plunge, all the way into August - so be very careful. There are lots of fish in this lake and has paid camping here.

We had some lunch and then a quick adventure over Paris Ice Cave/Paris Springs.
