Harlem was originally settled in 1658 by Peter Stuyvesant, the Dutch governor of New Netherland. Harlem is named after the city of Haarlem in the Netherlands.

Harlem, as a neighborhood, has no fixed boundaries. It may generally be said to lie between 155th Street in the north, on 96th Street upwards on the south-east, and 110th Street on the south-west.
The Hudson River naturally limits Harlem on the west part while the Harlem River and the East River limit Harlem on the east part.

In this video, I’m walking around West Harlem between 112th and 125 streets.
