Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (also called the Darjeeling Zoo) is in the town of Darjeeling, India.
It specializes in breeding animals adapted to alpine conditions, and has successful captive breeding programs for the snow leopard, the endangered Himalayan wolf and the red panda.
Also, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) one of the premier mountaineering institutes is located there where you can experience the history of mountaineering and get various mountaineering and adventure courses.
