Описание к видео Aaero 2 Lania Kea DLC - All Songs, All Difficulties

Ok, cool DLC and all, same comments as last time, maybe with the added one of "these really don't feel that connected as worlds" but that aint no big deal. What is a big deal is whatever the hell is happening in Wakan Tanka. I get it, the song is very native-american chants adjacent to spirits and whatnots. The level, on its own, works. Heck, thanks to the arc ribbons it's probably one of the best levels in the two DLCs, though I do like the sax of Euphoria. But everything crumbles when you put it in context of the rest of Aaero games.

I think it's quite clear that the game is thematically sci-fi and thus having spirits be a mini-boss on one of the levels is really out of left field. Right? So why are they there? And I get it, lore isn't really a huge deal in the game, but to my understanding it's about two different factions vying about control vs freedom of the rhytmic energies represented by the ribbons. Having spirits be a sudden third faction in a single level is just... strange. And yeah, it fits the song perfectly, but whoever picked the songs could've picked one that doesn't lean towards spiritual interpretations, no?

It's just sad to me. This is a game that really kickstarted my posting on this channel, and by extension my deep dives into rhythm games. I've played upwards of 200 different rhythm games, and much of that is thanks to Aaero. And here it feels like a husk of its former shelf, puppeteer around to advertise black razor records or something. Idk. I'll play the DLC in co-op over the weekend hopefully, maybe those charts feature some fun asymmetries at least.
