Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha Launches New Political Party in Vijayawada | Jana Jagruthi Party

VIJAYAWADA: Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha here on Friday launched new regional party, Jana Jagruti Party. She also launched the party’s logo and flag claiming that it would represent women and the neglected sections. Geetha, before announcing the launch of the new political party, said that she had submitted her resignations to the Araku Lok Sabha seat. “I have submitted my resignation letter on August 21. It is pending with the Lok Sabha Speaker,” she said. She further claimed that she had also resigned to her primary membership of the YSR Congress. new political outfit, Geetha said that she would give greater representation to the women candidates in the Assembly and Parliament elections. She also claimed that she would field candidates from the social groups that have not received the benefit in the last 70 years of Independence. She accused both TDP and YSR Congress of promoting family rule and caste in the State. She said that the two parties were misleading people by making corruption charges against each other. She accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of pushing the state into debt trap. She also criticised Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy for boycotting the Assembly.“The two parties are not interesting in the welfare and empowerment of the people. They are more concerned for the political power,” she said and claimed that she would lead new politics that would give highest priority to the welfare of the people. Geetha appealed to the people of the deprived classes, women and youth to support her and take active part in the party. She said that she would go to the people soon and prepare them for the next election.
