Assembling and priming the fuel system on our John Deere 2010 tractor

This turned out to be easier than I was anticipating. After mounting the fuel tank I assembled the settling bowl and fuel lines, then opened the valves up. I cracked to injector lines before turning the engine over several time to bleed air from the system.


We then hooked up a strap and pull cranked it with the truck. I put the transmission in a high gear and once rolling let the clutch out. It only took a few hundred feet for it to start right up. This is the easiest way to start a tractor that has ran out of fuel.
