আগামী ছ'মাসের মধ্যে খেলাপি ঋণ বেড়ে দ্বিগুণ হতে পারে বলে জানিয়েছেন গভর্নর ড. আহসান এইচ মনসুর। এর অর্ধেকের জন্য দায়ী বড় কয়েকটি গ্রুপের স্ক্যাম। এসব অর্থ ব্যাংক থেকে পাচার হয়ে গেছে বলেও মন্তব্য করেন গভর্নর। ব্যাংকিং খাতের প্রকৃত আর্থিক অবস্থা জানা এবং পাচার হওয়া অর্থ উদ্ধারে চেষ্টা বলছে বলেও প্রধান উপদেষ্টাকে জানিয়েছেন আহসান মনসুর।

Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur said that the defaulted loans may double in the next six months. Half of this is due to scams by a few big groups. The governor also commented that this money has been laundered from the banks. Ahsan Mansur also told the chief advisor that he is trying to know the real financial condition of the banking sector and recover the laundered money.
