This is one of three scores from The Lion Guard uploaded onto series underscore composer Edward Underhill’s website. This score plays in the Season 2 midseason premiere, "The Scorpion's Sting," as the Lion Guard and Makini attempt to escape the army of the spirit of Scar. As they flee the Outlands, they’re attacked by Mzingo’s flock, who attempt to steal and destroy the gourd containing the volcanic ash to cure King Simba. Fortunately, they’re able to fend off the vultures and escape; meanwhile, Scar declares war against his great-nephew and his team.

This score contains several familiar tracks from the score, including the vultures’ attack leitmotif and the theme for the Roar of the Elders [which is sampled from the extended version of Call of the Guard]. All in all, very great to hear in HD.
