Frank Perowsky is a NYC based saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, arranger, who worked with Peggy Lee, Sarah Vaughan, Billy Eckstine, Nancy Wilson, Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Michel Legrand, Stan Getz, Jimmy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Tito Rodriguez, Johnny Richards, Bill Watrous, Thad Jones/Mel Louis, Roland Hanna, Chico O’Farril, Mike Longo, as well as Liza Minnelli's band for 35 yrs!

Frank is leader of the Frank Perowsky Jazz Orchestra, co-led by Perowsky and his son, drummer/producer Ben Perowsky, is a 16-piece ensemble filled with some of the finest and most sought after instrumentalists in NYC today.

Some are legendary in their own right including Jerry Dodgion & Sam Burtis who have been working along side Perowsky for more than forty years in bands such as Thad Jones/Mel Louis, Woody Herman and Chico O’Farrill, while other players have been associated with Ben in numerous modern musical settings.

This ensemble spans generations bringing a unique mixture of personalities, expressions and excitement to the sound and approach of the repertoire ... as in his latest release AN AFTERNOON IN GOWANUS .. a superb selection of SWINGING tunes!
