For hundreds of years ornithologists have been told by local natives of the secret Ke Koa (translation: Courage) ritual performed by Cockatoos when the young males come of age. Countless expeditions have sought to record the ritual, but until today it has never been witnessed by outsiders. Apparently the stories told to the ornithologists were fairly accurate: The young male Cockatoo, endeavoring to prove his courage and prove his worthiness to take his place in the flock, locates a rare red and yellow wiffle ball. Then he must find a fierce feline, and tease the feline with said wiffle ball while performing the sacred Ke Koa dance, and singing the hauntingly beautiful Ke Koa song. All of this must be witnessed by a canine. It is an amazing sight, and will surely be the grist for many articles and analyses in all the leading ornithological journals.
