Kamal Haasan is an Indian movie entertainer, artist, movie chief, screenwriter, maker, playback artist, lyricist and government official who works basically in Tamil film and has likewise worked in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Bengali movies. Haasan has won honors including three National Film Awards, the second-most by any Indian entertainer, and nineteen Filmfare Awards. Haasan was granted the Kalaimamani grant in 1979, the Padma Shri in 1990, the Padma Bhushan in 2014 and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Chevalier) in 2016.
