Supporting Military Families with Special Medical or Educational Needs 1

Supporting Military Families is a priority for the School Liaison Program and the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP). The School Liaisons and EFMP Coordinators are a resource for parents and school districts and are integral in the state's implementation of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Students (ICEOMC). The School Liaison Program and EFMP services are offered service-wide in every state and country with an active-duty military installation.

The mission of the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) is to lead the nation's efforts to improve outcomes for children with disabilities, birth through 21, and their families, ensuring access to fair, equitable, and high-quality education and services. Their vision is for a world in which individuals with disabilities have unlimited opportunities to learn and to lead purposeful and fulfilling lives.
