With any kind of issue on a car the most important part of the repair is the diagnostic - If you spend money on repairing the wrong thing, you've wasted your hard earned money. The most expensive repair you can do is the one you don't need. That's why we take such pride in our diagnostics. We make sure that you're only going to spend your money on what's actually needed to fix your car and we won't waist your money on repairs you don't need. We have factory diagnostic equipment, aftermarket diagnostic equipment, and all of the resources necessary to pinpoint any issue correctly.
Some mechanics will charge to scan a "check engine light" or "service engine soon light" but we will always do this for free. Scanning the check engine light is not the same as performing a diagnostic. A diagnostic takes us between 30 minutes to 5 hours to complete and involves actual testing of components to determine what the problem is. Although we do get valid information from scanning a check engine light, the light usually just gives us an idea of whats wrong and needs further testing to determine the exact cause.
