A tripartite peace accord was signed between the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), Assam, and the Centre on December 29. The ULFA’s pro-talks faction signed the Memorandum of Settlement in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam CM Himanta Sarma.
