Today, let’s talk about something very important for safety – the Deadman Switch.

You might be thinking, what is that?
Don’t worry – I’ll explain it in very simple words.

👉 What is a Deadman Switch?
A Deadman Switch is a special safety button on some tools.
It works only when you press it with your hand.

The moment you remove your hand – even by mistake – the tool stops immediately.

This helps stop accidents and keeps you safe.

👉 Why is it important?
Let’s say you are using a grinder with a normal on/off switch.
If it slips from your hand, it keeps running, and can hurt you or others.

But if your grinder has a deadman switch, and it slips, the tool will turn off by itself.

This makes it much safer to use.

That’s why OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) says:
Always use grinders with a Deadman Switch.
