Originally recorded in L.A. in 1979, but not released until the Spring of 1980 (on Solar's feeder label York Street Records), Tharlen's one and only single has always been a source of conjecture among enthusiasts. Was that opening bassline really a test run for Leon Sylvers for all those future Whispers hits? No one really knows the answer, but listening to that intro again today, you can see why the rumours have persisted to this day...
