Let's Tour The Darkest DLC You've Ever Seen: The Elder Scrolls Online Murkmire

The Elder Scrolls Online heads to the swamps in the new Murkmire DLC - so Alice gives Matthew a tour of of the darkest DLC we’ve ever seen. I think there’s some new locations, and enemies in there. Hard to tell. It’s the Argonian homeland and features such delights as a trumpet made of frogs and, er, other things you can’t see. Enjoy your trip.

In this guided tour of The Elder Scrolls Murkmire Alice attempts to show off the murkiest map to ever appear in TESO - it looks like night, but is actually day. That’s how murky it is. Fighting against the gloom she shows off new Bog Blights, Hackwings and Catapult Plants - apparently everything is out to kill you in Murkmire, even the vegetation. Especially the vegetation. She also explains some of the nerdy lore, including Argonian burial methods and what happens when those burial methods go wrong. It’s very educational.

As she pushes deeper into ESO Murkmire, Alice also takes us to a new arena area, shows us how Argonians like to relax after a busy day of not being murdered by everything in their home and reveals the failed Imperials efforts to gentrify the area. You can’t gentrify a swamp, ya mad Imperial fools. We also visit a house that is either flooding or has a very aggressive water feature. You be the judge.

Fancy some Murkmire for yourself? It’s available as a DLC pack now, is free for ESO Plus members or can be purchased for crowns from the in-game Crown Store. It will also be added a daily reward in November, for those who log in regularly. Is it worth buying? That depends how much you want to venture into the Black Marsh and learn about the local lizards. We prefer our holidays in slightly sunnier locations.
