The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) conducts the Himachal Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Exam, also known as the HP TGT Commission Exam. This competitive exam recruits eligible candidates for the post of TGT in various government schools across Himachal Pradesh. The Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Service Commission (HPSSSB) also conducts exams for the TGT post.

Eligibility Requirements for the 2024 Primary Teacher Recruitment in Himachal Pradesh”
Educational Qualification:

Completion of a four-year integrated degree course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT, with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. OR
Attainment of a second-class Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject(s), including electives and languages, as part of the specified subject combination, along with a recognized B.Ed degree accredited by NCTE. OR
Possession of an equivalent degree with methodology in the relevant subject from a University recognized by UGC.

Attainment of a Master’s degree from a University recognized by UGC, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the relevant subjects.
