A few corrections to the article in the Press Democrat today (7 Dec. 2014):

1) I refer to precisely ONE post on my blog as a crime scene video, found here: http://coastodian.org/sustainable-oys...

2) There are images from visits to about a dozen racks in Schooner Bay, Home Bay and near Creamery Bay on my blog. Kevin states that his crews clean up messes that they come across. I disagree with this statement. If his crews had cleaned up the messes under the racks, as well as kept a reasonably clean work area, I'd not be able to find so many messes and therefore not be so determined to showcase the environmental fiasco that is DBOC.

The storm surge event mentioned from a few years back swept thousands of black tubes into The Estero that were "stored" at the waters' edge. Had these materials been properly stored away from the tide, yet more mess would not have been created. I picked up nearly 2000 tubes you lost Kevin, from along Drakes Bay and Horseshoe Lagoon after that one event. A mess created by DBOC, not Charlie Johnson.

3) Why no mention of the thousands of white, sinking "french tubes" littering the bottom of The Estero? These devices were used solely by DBOC, not by Charlie Johnson. Kevin told me so on April 13 of 2013.

For Kevin to say “Big deal, the racks broke,”, perfectly illustrates why this business had to go. The mess DBOC left is a big deal. Many of us humans, and all non-human animals prefer a planet that is not trashed with the remnants of a short-sighted, extractive operation focused on one thing and only one thing, profit.
