Well we are back towing with this fantastic 2025 chevy silverado 1500 High country with the 3L Duramax diesel engine and we are towing my 8,000lbs enclosed trailer on my towing loop through the Appalachian mountains this time however we have the standard 3.23 axle gearing which does take large hit on the max towing capacity of this truck so I'm very excited to see how this truck performs in the real world.

in theory with these less aggressive gears this truck should have a poor towing performance in comparison to the 3L duramax we towed with the max tow package and 3.73 gearing. but as we saw throughout the test the gearing did not really effect the towing performance other then a large drop in fuel economy.
