नुवाकोटको प्रसिद्ध धार्मिकस्थल दुप्चेश्वर महादेव मन्दिरमा प्रत्येक बर्ष मङ्सिर पूर्णिमामा लाग्ने मेला सुरु भएको छ । यो मेला पांच दिनसम्म चल्नेछ । दुप्चेश्वर महादेव नुवाकोट जिल्लाको दुप्चेश्वर गाउँपालिका वडा न.६ मा अवस्थित प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक पर्यटकीय स्थल समेत रहेको छ । यस मन्दिरमा धान्य पूर्णिमाको अघिल्लो दिन चतुर्दशीदेखि पूर्णिमाको दिनसम्म (बिशेष मङ्सिर २०-२१ गते ) मेला लाग्ने गर्दछ । भक्तजनहरुले पूजाआराधना गर्ने तथा भगवान् शिव महादेवप्रतिको आस्थाभाव प्रकट गर्दै आफुले चाहेको बर माग्ने परम्परा रहेको छ ।

पौराणिक कथन अनुसार करिव पाँच सय वर्षअघि स्थानीय एक तामाङको दुहुनो गाई हराएपछि खोजी गर्दै जाँदा पहरोमा दुध चढाइरहेको भेटिएकाले उक्त ठाउँमा दुग्धेश्वर महादेव रहेको विश्वासमा प्रत्येक वर्ष धान्य पूर्णिमाका दिन विशेष मेला लाग्दै आएको छ । यस मेलामा तामाङ, शेर्पा,गुरुङ जातिका परम्परागत संस्कृतिको प्रदर्शन र स्थानीय उत्पादनहरूको बिक्री वितरण समेत हुने गरेको छ ।

हिमालको फेदमा रहेको यो मन्दिर पवित्र तादी खोलामा अवस्थित रहेको छ । धार्मिक पर्यटनको गन्तव्यको लागि गतिलो सम्भावना बोकेको दुर्गम क्षेत्रमा रहेको यस धार्मिकस्थलको स्थानीय सरकारी स्तरबाट प्रचारप्रसार हुन सके आन्तरिक एवम् वाह्य पर्यटकहरु सजिलै भित्र्याउन सकिन्छ । पहाडको बिचमा रहेको दुप्चेश्वर महादेव तादी खोला किनारदेखि करिव २५० मिटर माथि शिलामा शिवलिंग अर्ध वृत्ताकार आकारमा रहेको छ ।
A fair held every year on the full moon of November has started at the famous religious place Dupcheswar Mahadev Temple in Nuwakot. This fair will last for five days. Dupcheshwar Mahadev is also a famous religious tourist spot located in Dupcheshwar rural municipality ward no. 6 of Nuwakot district. A fair is held in this temple from Chaturdashi to full moon day (especially November 20-21) on the day before Dhanya Purnima. Devotees have a tradition of worshiping and expressing their faith towards Lord Shiva Mahadev and asking for the boon they want.

According to the legend, around five hundred years ago, a local Tamang dairy cow was missing and was found offering milk in the Pahoro. Therefore, a special fair is held every year on the day of the full moon of the grain due to the belief that Dugeshwar Mahadev resides in that place. In this fair, the traditional culture of Tamang, Sherpa, Gurung peoples are displayed and local products are also sold and distributed.

This temple at the foot of the mountain is located in the sacred Tadi River. This religious place, which is in a remote area with a dynamic potential as a destination for religious tourism, can be easily brought in domestic and foreign tourists if publicized by the local government level. Dupcheswar Mahadev Tadi in the middle of the hill, about 250 meters above the river bank, the Shivlinga is in a semi-circular shape.
