First unveiled at NAMM 2020, the RME AVB Tool is a four channel microphone preamp, a signal router, as well as a MADI and AVB format converter all rolled into one half-rack sized device.

Aside from the four pristine microphone preamps on the front panel, the RME AVB Tool continues the long RME legacy of flexibility and connectivity, with MADI and AVB connection available as standard, as well as analogue outputs for signal monitoring.

Harnessing the networking power of AVB, the AVB Tool can use its Neutrik EtherCon port to send up to eight incoming and eight outgoing audio streams, totalling an incredible 128 channels of audio in each direction.

The AVB Tool user interface has been designed with interaction in mind, with a wide range of controller options. Firstly, intuitive controls on the front panel of the AVB Tool make hands-on control of the unit quick and easy. On the network side, the AVB Tool can be controlled and managed via the RME AVB Controller and most other third party AVDECC controllers. Finally, a browser based controller allows you to route any incoming and outgoing signal. This controller is also available when not connected to a network via the included USB cable.
