We have explored India many times, if you are interested in doing weddings outside of India, This video is about Vietnam as a destination for weddings and holidays.
If you do four or five stars in India, you can do it on the same budget in Vietnam.
Vietnam is a popular destination for weddings and holidays. We recently visited Vietnam for an event and stayed to explore the country for potential wedding venues.
In that video, we discuss the pros and cons.
Pros
1 Flight Options (Short & Cost Effective): The flight time from India to Vietnam is very short, which is an advantage.
Delhi to Vietnam 4 hour's flight
Kolkatta to Vietnam 2.5 Hours flight
Mumbai to Vietnam 4.5 hour Flight
You can get these flights to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, or Ho Chi Min Main City.
2 Beautiful Scenic Backdrop/Location: Vietnam has stunning scenery, including beaches, mountains, and jungles. You can visit other cities from Hanoi to Halong Bay, Ninh Binh, and SAPA, these all are beautiful cities where you can plan a wedding. Danang is also a city with beaches and 5-star hotels and resorts.
3 E-Visa Easy & Fast: -The visa process for Vietnam is easy and can be obtained within seven days.
4 Grab App: Best for transportation and Delivery: This is the best option for roaming around a city, where all luxury cars are good for the groups.
5 Event/Trip is reasonable and affordable: While not the cheapest destination, Vietnam offers good value for money compared to other international destinations. Local markets are also unique and of good quality.
Cons
1 Language barrier:- The language barrier can be a challenge, as not many people in Vietnam speak English. Google/Apple Translator is a lifesaver, people use it frequently for communication.
2 Food: -The food in Vietnam can be different from what Indians are used to, especially for vegetarians, and not good for non-vegetarians because the cooking style is different. For weddings, four or five-star hotels have Indian chefs that would be a good option for you.
The important tip is to take some ready-to-eat food with you on holidays.
3 Currency conversion: Converting Indian Rupees to Vietnamese Dong can be difficult and may involve higher transaction charges. If you carry dollars that would be easily converted. You have international cards that are also good, Debit, Credit, or Forex cards.
4 No OTP Require For Card Swipe:- Take care of your cards because no OTP goes well.
Wedding venues in Vietnam
Hanoi
Pullman Hotel Hanoi: A good option with a large banquet space and various rooms. A 2-night stay for 100 guests budget would be 30-35 lac, or you can take including decor or DJ cost would be 40-45lac.
Sheraton Hanoi: This is a premium option with indoor and outdoor venues. A 2-night 100 guests including decor or DJ, it's 45-50 lac.
Dolce by Wyndham: This is also a luxury hotel with Gold work everywhere in the hotel 300+ rooms 6-7 banquets cost for 100 guests 50-60lac.
Danang Central Vietnam
Marriot Resort & spa: Multiple pools with beachside 100 guests 60-70 lac cost for a 3-night stay.
Melia Danang: A popular choice with stunning beach views and multiple pools.
Hyatt Regency Danang: Another good option with beautiful views.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort: A luxurious resort with stunning views.
