t.c. electronic G-System - Modulated / Modulation Delays (Lo-Fi / Tape Delay + Vibrato) - [PART 1]

This is a little demo of the G-System itself and its ability to do some decent analog delays with modulation. I choose a faster Vibrato to cop that DMM feel but you can easily slow it down and turn the depth down a little to make it less apparent.

I'm not saying this thing is EVER going to surpass a true analog delay with modulation, like the Deluxe Memory Man, Yamaha E1010 and Ibanez / Maxon AD202 (which I all own), but it does have some nice options routing the modulation section into the delay only (Routing: Serial2). This means that the delay basically has an FX loop where you can place one of the modulation effects of the G-System into its loop.

I created 3 patches with a Compressor (Percussive) and different delays. All the patches have the same Vibrato in the loop of the delays.
- Preset 1: Very dark Lo-Fi Delay
- Preset 2: Less darker Tape Delay
- Preset 3: Even less darker Tape Delay

I do think it sounds pretty convincing, though I'm not saying it's the same. It's just cool to have the ability to route any type of modulation (2x Chorus, 2x Flanger, 2x Phaser, Tremolo, Vibrato, 2x Univibe) into the delays and fine tune the modulation and delay itself. You can make the modulation as dark or bright as you want and the same goes for the delays.

The only thing I miss is the textural quality, the grit and character though I think patch one does that pretty decent.
