Do This Day Trip Yourself.. Steps:
1) Take a Train from Grand Central Terminal to Cold Spring, NY (80-90 minutes, $30 round trip)
2) Walk down Main Street when you get off the train and turn left on Fair Street. (optional: pick up lunch at Garden Cafe or other spot)
3) Walk 1-mile or so until you reach the Hudson Highlands State Park signage + station.
4) Follow this map : https://docdro.id/NnUDn13 (start at the Washburn Trail and hook down Undercliff Trail back to Cold Spring) (estimated hike time 3-4 hours)
5) Stop in Cold Spring for food/drink afterwards.
6) Train back to Manhattan.
