Cyclone Mekunu continues to approach Oman and has strengthened into a Category 2 storm, and has a fair chance of intensifying further before striking near Salalah, Oman. The storm currently has winds of 100mph (160km/h), with higher gusts. The storm will deliver severe rainfall and strong winds to a large portion of the coast in southern Oman and over the border into Yemen.
