1930s Multi Tool Screwdriver with Broken Handle - Restoration

Описание к видео 1930s Multi Tool Screwdriver with Broken Handle - Restoration

In this video I am restoring a multi tool screwdriver from the 1930s.
I found this old and broken screwdriver for sale and I had to buy it. It was very rusty and the only tool it came with was this awl. I tried to keep as many of the original parts as possible, but unfortunately I destroyed the metal tube while trying to drill the rivet so I had to make a new one. The wood was cracked and a piece was cut where the cap should be, so the handle could not be saved. Making a new handle was quite a challenge for me because I have never done any woodworking before. I used beech which is a common wood for handles. I also tried nickel plating for the first time and it was really sattisfying to do. Overall, I am very happy with how this screwdriver turned out.
