Last year we lost our leader - Dr. Dawn Bohulano Mabalon. But before we lost her, she gave us the gift of our story as a people, an almost forgotten community to be responsible for, and a legacy to live up to. In "Dawn," our 2019 Little Manila Rising Community Showcase, we honor her life's work and the vision she had for a renewed community.

Performed on June 22, 2019 at San Joaquin Delta College's Atherton Auditorium. Our showcase features the artistic and academic programs of Little Manila Rising:
Little Manila Dance Collective, Little Manila After School Program, Kulintang Academy, Little Manila Rondalla, Bahala Na Martial Arts, and Us History.
Also featuring Rondalla artists of the American Center of Philippine Arts under the direction of Herna Cruz-Louie.

Artistic direction and choreography by Brian Batugo (with mentorship from Voltaire Gungab and assistance from Maria Lauron-Ramos and Jorge Betancourt)
Skit direction by Elaine Barut (with help from Aldrich Sabac and Jerel Labson)
