Train Simulator 2020 - U-Bahn Frankfurt 2 - (U5) Hauptbahnhof to Preungesheim

U5 is one of the more interesting lines on the Frankfurt U-Bahn system. It first opened as a tram line in 1974, being re-branded as U5 just four years later. The line runs from Hauptbahnhof (central station) to Preungesheim, and is underground as far as Konstablerwache.

Prior to 2016, four stations on the line had street-level platforms. This meant only converted Ptb trams could run on U5. In late 2016, two stations were rebuilt with full-height platforms and the other two were closed. Today the line is run primarily with Flexity Swift U5 trains.

In this scenario, we are driving a pair of the old Ptb trams. We start at Hauptbahnhof and drive the full length of the 4.7 mile line to Preungesheim. Our stops along the way are as follows:
