Australia weather to Sunday: Qld rain, Vic wind + big picture nationwide

Wet weather is coming for Queensland over the next week but sadly not in Victoria for the Grampians bush fire. In fact dry, hot and sometimes windy weather will dominate the lower half of the continent this week, driving in windy easterlies from coast to coast which causes cloud and wet weather for coastal eastern Qld and NSW, but drier inland and to the south for Vic and SA.

WA has windy weather at times from the east, boosting temperatures again. But the top half of WA and NT isn’t too stormy - just a few thunderstorms and isolated downpours here and there.
