These Six Cardinal Rules if followed will see you powering your effects pedals like a pro! In this video we cover everything you need to know about powering your effects pedals.
The Rules Of Pedal Power Supplies are as follows:
1. The power supply must be of the same current mode as the pedal requires. AC or DC.
2. The voltage of the power supply must match that of the pedals requirements. 9V pedal with 9 volt supply.
3. The current rating of the power supply must exceed that of the combined current consumption of the pedals connected to it.
4. Ensure the polarity ofg the power supply connector is the same as the pedal requires. This applies to DC powered pedal only.
5. Never power negative ground and positive ground pedals from the same supply circuit. Use isolated outputs or separate power supplies.
6. For DC powered pedals voltage regulation is a must for a noise free signal path.
