This is my latest project. I wrote some Arduino code to drive this HP 5327B counter as a clock, synced to GPS time! The Arduino receives serial GPS data from a small ET102 SiRF GPS module, and parses that information to put out pulses to control a counter (in this case my nixie tube HP 5327B Counter/Timer/DVM).

The time is synced when the Arduino starts up. It sends the right number of pulses to the counter to get it to display the current time, then outputs 1 pulse per second to advance the seconds on the counter. The little antenna I had hooked to the GPS wasn't getting a good enough signal to get position lock, but was able to get at least one satellite in order to get the correct time.

The HP 5327B is my latest piece of test equipment, and one of my favorite instruments so far :-)
