Trying to Beat Contamination OCD? OCD Doesn’t Play Fair.

Описание к видео Trying to Beat Contamination OCD? OCD Doesn’t Play Fair.

If you are struggling with contamination OCD you might be thinking you can keep yourself safe as long as you keep track of everything and anything that touches you or the things you care about. This can keep you so distracted and overwhelmed. It is like being on a hamster wheel you cannot get off. But it is worth it, because you are able to control whether you get contaminated.

But are you in control?

OCD doesn’t play a fair game. OCD cheats and makes sure you can’t win.

OCD can make you doubt what you know. It can make you question what you see, what you experience and what you know.

OCD can turn something contaminated without any proof it actually touched something else. It can make something contaminated just through doubt or irrational crazy making.

That is not a fair game. It is a game that is set up for you to lose no matter what.

When you have contamination OCD the rules get longer and longer. The list of things contaminated keeps growing while your world continues to get smaller.

The only way to “win” this game is to not play it to begin with.

In this week’s YouTube video I talk about how contamination OCD is a game you cannot win and what to do instead!
