During the 10th and 11th June 2023, Rail Riders held a event at Crewe Heritage Centre featuring visiting locomotives and Model Railways.

This video focus on the Model Railways that were in attendance from visiting layouts and the three layouts that are based at Crewe which feature as bonus footage towards the end.

The layouts in this video are the following

Ruffles Road (Simon Veasey) - OO Gauge
1980s to 1990s fictional urban London scene layout featuring a single platform and run round loops

Penna Lane TMD (Raymond & Colin Batchelor) - OO Gauge
Penna Lane TMD is a servicing point for locomotives and diesels multiple units which involves fuelling, day to day servicing, light overhauls and exams. There also a Railway Station named Penna Lane which see Northern Trains and Tyne & Wear Metro services arriving and departing the station.

Titherridge Junction (Pauline McKenna/Bradford Model Railway Club) - N Gauge
A flying junction layout with a siding which was named after Pauline's late husband, Steve Titherirdge who drove for DB Schenker. Layout set between 1975 to 1982 during the final years of the Class 52 Westerns which locomotives are Bachmann/Farish and Dapol

Gresty Bridge (Mark Davis) - OO Gauge
Gresty Bridge is based on the Direct Rail Services Gresty Bridge Depot in Crewe. Built to catch the look and atmosphere of the modern day depot. The depot located between Crewe and Nantwich on the Crewe to Shrewsbury Line.

Wenstead (Ryan Gray) - OO Gauge
Modern day fictional OO Gauge West Country layout in England, built as a island station terminus with a stabling point next door

Fordon Hill (Ken & Oscar Robson) - N Gauge
2 foot by 4 foot 6" N Gauge Layout featuring a double circuit with Station sidings as the plan was to keep the trains running.

Exeter St, Georges (Dave Warner/Todmorden Independents Modelers) - O Gauge
Compact O Gauge layout of St. Georges Stabling point in Exeter in the year 1990 with plenty of Class 50s to see!

Museum of Transport (Robin Brogden) - OO Gauge
Fictional Layout with the area regenerated from former dockland of a English Town which features anything from DMUs riding a short stretch of track to trams, miniature railways, buses and many more, this is a popular layout on the exhibition circuit

Ripple Lane TMD (Andy Watts) - O Gauge
Based on a area on the London Tilbury and Southend Railway lines between Barking and Dagenham Dock Station in London, layout represents the final years of the TMD before closure.

New Millshaw: (Christopher & Andrew Towers) - O Gauge
Small branch line in Wesy Yorkshire, one of many that existed in that area and built to serve one of the coal mines in that area, branch line beyond the station closed by Beeching in the 1960s

British Steel: Plumtree Works (Andrew Plumtree) - OO & 009 Gauge
Layout based on a proposed new combination rolling mil at Scunthorpe which would had produced multiple products from one mill but sadly never built

Micro Layouts (Andy and Euan Strathie)
This was meant to be the OO Gauge Paisley Canal Station which is a micro layout, however instead was a small layout in a pizza box which really looked impressive and think it's N Gauge and Micro Cement Works which features a Class 08 and sentinel shunters which is a OO Gauge layout.

Leigh St. George (Leigh Thompson)
Fictional Midlands Market Town of the same name, a terminus station which was busy with passengers and freight which get commuters and goods from Birmingham.

North Western Mills (Calder Northern Group of the British arm of America’s National Model Railroad Association) - HO Gauge
Several typical transatlantic factory sites, reflects the historic milling of Mornflake Oats in Crewe UK since 1675

Crewe Heritage Centre OO Gauge and N Gauge layouts
Not much details on these layouts apart they are four track mainline with any rolling stock used on the layouts.
