This mini-cabin was shipped to my customer's property. The width and height of it required the hauler to employ the use of 2 escort vehicles, one in the rear and one in front with a high pole. They did a fantastic job and all 3 of them, Gabe "The Driver", Matt "The Expert" and Paul "Bringing up the Rear" went above and beyond the call of duty to get this building not only to the site that was clearly over a road that doesn't see this kind of action regularly, but over a bit of a sketchy bridge constructed of 4 large Hemlock trees and 2x12 pressure treated boards.
The cabin I built was done so out of my experience as a homebuilder for nearly 40 years and not a "shed" builder, although that is what I'm inspired to become lately. IT IS A STOUT building! 2x6pt floor joist on 16" centers... in fact, everything except the front porch rafters is on the same layout. Full 3/4" Advantech flooring, 1/2" osb sheating on the walls and roof underneath the siding and metal and 2x6 T&G pine flooring on the porch roof, makes this 12x16 building considerably heavier than what the hauler is accustomed to delivering. But as you'll see in the video, they did a fantastic job of getting it there.
