Paul larbey provides updates on Bango Boost, Bango Marketplace and the companies traditional payments business - which powers mobile payments for Google, Amazon, Youtube TV and several other global giants.

Carolyn Rand analyses how Bango plc has doubled its end user spend for the 5th consecutive year. End user spend (EUS) is an important key performance indicator for Bango as it measures transactions across the payment platform, giving an insight into the value of the transactions as well as indicating the volume of the data. In 2019 End User Spend grew to over £1.1 bn, continuing the last five years of growth. Revenues increased to £9.3m, a 41% growth on the previous year. The revenue came from the data business, which delivered £2.15m and the payments business which realised £7.16m of revenue. Admin costs increased by 11.5%, and this included a large £1.3m investment in the new data business. The difference in rate of increase in revenues, versus the rate of increase in admin costs shows how Bango is able to grow on a stable cost base.

CEO Paul Larbey discusses the drivers behind bango's exponential growth in 2019. There were four such drivers - more users, more routes, more merchants and more data. These are discussed in the film, and summarised below.

Regarding users, more were added to the platform in 2019. Bango powers the payments for goliaths such as Google, Amazon and Youtube TV. Bango's users increased as these global giants added new services. Bango also expanded its offering, moving from post-paid-mobile services to pre-paid mobile for subscription bundling. This again has added users to the platform.

Bango added more routes. In 2019 Bango plc launched routes for several merchants in multiple geographies.

Bango added more merchants to its platform. Youtube TV, Spotify and AE Tolls began using the Bango payment platform in 2019.

Bango used the data collected from it's payment platform to generate even more payments.The data insights generated from Bango Boost delivered over £100m of additional End User Spend and increased subscription conversion by over 15% in 2019.

Paul Larbey also discusses the Bango Marketplace which was launched a year ago. The Marketplace allows app and game developers to target audiences of paying users on facebook. Some of Bango's marketplace customers have seen a nine-fold increase in marketing returns, as the platform allows them to target users who are more likely to pay. More app developers used Bango Marketplace in 2019, and this is creating even more data for Bango's platform.
