Dr. Johanna Gamboa-Kroesen is an Assistant Professor of Music Education at UCLA where she teaches music education courses and supervises student teaching. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Gamboa-Kroesen’s scholarship includes inclusive teaching practices and belonging. She enjoys an active schedule of guest conducting, clinics, and conference presentations, including ISME, CMS, NAfME, SMTE, ASTA, and CASMEC. She also serves as Music Director of the Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings, a premier youth orchestra in California.

Katherine Findlay Hagstrom, a credentialed music educator, music therapist, and advocate for equitable access to arts education, has taught TK-6th grade music in public schools for 11 years. She has received Irvine Unified’s Teaching in Excellence Award, SCSBOA Rising Star Award, Orange County Outstanding Arts Educator Award, and Orange County Special Education Arts Educator Award. Katherine has presented workshops for organizations including CASMEC, MTAC, UCLA, Chapman University, and Irvine USD.
