I had no plans to go for Yuna FR other than the free pulls. It was funny to get a dupe BT as I will always enjoy tickets. I still had a whim for wanting Seymour so I went back into his banner....twice. I have no words for what happened. I got both the FR/BT for about 150 tickets which is just amazing and funny.

This bosses mechanic is all about its debuffs and how often they apply them. When they use their recast ability they will apply them and for the most part they aren't dangerous but they are annoying. The blind and HP disable are really crippling and can be a real problem. Some form of debuff evasion comes in handy here and its why I brought Aerith. The bosses want you to use Magic so it was time to bust out Cloud of Darkness(I swapped to a 5/5 UW for Rinoa so it worked out nicely that I already had it). Celes was a whim pick and I figured her traps would play into CoD's FR which it did....and didn't.

As you can see the beginning of the fight is the hardest part. Managing their turns and dispelling the debuffs is very important. It helps that CoD is all about delay which buys a lot of time. Only CoD has force levels which means it took awhile to build the gauge up. Once its at 100% it was time to go and not stop. I decided to do a FR+BT phase on the fly and I think it worked out. The bosses got delayed heavily which meant they weren't getting any more turns. The issue is doing that makes Celes pretty obsolete. She does damage but doesn't offer much at that point. I'm still always amazed at how much damage Aerith can put out.

I'll keep saying it but I vastly prefer these kind of fights. There is a mechanic you have to work around and once you do you can bring any characters you want. I would rather this be the endgame than fight a boss with 120M+ HP and takes reduced BRV damage. It opens up a lot of team compositions and gives you the choice to make the fight fun if you want it. Reminds me of early Lufenia+ where it was challenging but you had options for what characters you want to bring.
