Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is not just another urban development – it’s India’s first greenfield industrial city. Situated about 100 km south‑west of Ahmedabad and spread over 920 km², DSIR is being jointly developed by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat . The city falls within the Delhi‑Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) influence zone , giving it unprecedented connectivity to ports and markets. A dedicated legal framework – the Special Investment Region Act 2009 – has been enacted by the Gujarat government , and the Dholera Special Investment Region Development Authority (DSIRDA) has been created to oversee planning and government‑land management . Bhimnath–Dholera freight rail network

Dholera International Airport
Under‑construction greenfield airport near Navagam; the site covers 1,426 ha, lies about 80 km from Ahmedabad and 20 km from DSIR, and has 75 ha earmarked for commercial development . The airport will relieve congestion at the existing Ahmedabad airport and is expected to be commissioned around December 2025 .
Plug‑and‑play infrastructure & investment opportunities
