This song , that was apparently inspired by the Bee Gees song "Massachusetts" describes how country music was overtaken by rock music, was the Dutch group Pussycat's #1 hit during 1975/76 in most of the European countries. It was written in 1969 by Werner Theunissen a Dutch composer and lyricist who was also the guitar teacher of the three singing sisters who later on were part of the famous band .
