Three Mile Island Unit 1 to restart following 20-year agreement between Microsoft, energy company

A plan is in place to restart Three Mile Island Unit 1, following the announcement of a 20-year agreement between Microsoft and Baltimore-based company Constellation Energy Corporation.

As part of the power purchase agreement, Microsoft will buy energy from Unit 1 in order to launch the Crane Clean Energy Center (CCEC) and power data centers with carbon-free energy, according to a news release from the company.
