How to scream: what should screams feel like? Am I hurting myself?

Описание к видео How to scream: what should screams feel like? Am I hurting myself?

How do I know if I'm hurting myself while I'm screaming? I get this question all the time, if you have more questions comment them here for my upcoming Q&A video! When balanced, screaming should feel very minimal and in specific spots of the larynx like how I demonstrate here with false cord and fry screams.

If you're feeling irritation, burning or the need to cough a bunch when screaming, you'll definitely want to rebalance how you're doing it. This can be growing pains, but it could also be signs of working too hard. Hurting yourself can also happen from many things like using too much force with your diaphragm and too much air pressure, the throat overly constriction, tension in the tongue / face / jaw to name a few. After talking with a medical professional, all the answers to fixing things can really be simplified with the help from a metal vocal coach.
