This luxury mountain retreat villa in North Bali certainly has the 'Wow' factor. It is built into the dramatic view -1,025 metres above sea level - in Melaka (Kayu Putih), a traditional North Balinese village. Perched so high in the mountain that sometimes it is shrouded by clouds, this luxury villa offers panoramic mountain, valley and ocean views to take the breath away.
One of its most dramatic features is a 10 metre infinity lap swimming pool, along the viewing edge of the property plus an upstairs jacuzzi on the large viewing patio.
The Villa is about six kilometres up the mountain, through the village of Kalibukbuk, to the village of Melaka, about 25 minutes above the tourist centre of Lovina, which is some 8 kilometres west of the former Indonesian capital Singaraja.
This remarkable villa is a scenic 3-hour drive from Denpasar's Ngurah Rai airport, which is like seeing an overview of the real Bali along the way.

Surrounded by nature (Kayu Putih means 'white wood'), this unique villa, described as 'daring and bold' by visitors, is adjacent to a beautiful temple, burial ground for a long forgotten Balinese King, and shaded by a huge sacred tree. Unlike many other frequently used Bali temples, Pura Pendum is only used for ceremonies twice a year.
This beautiful mountain villa is about 1.5 kilometres further up the mountain from the renowned five-star Damai Resort and its altitude makes it a comfortable five degrees cooler than on the coast below. Surrounded by palm and teak trees, natural jungle beauty and aromatic clove plantations,
Bali Villa Sartori (North Bali) is an eco-tourist's delight. It is, however, just 25 minutes from the restaurants, bars, musical entertainment, shopping, local markets, fishing and beachfront dolphin tours offered by nearby Lovina.

For guests who enjoy tours and activities, the villa is also nearby to such north coast attractions as Menjangan Island in Bali's national park, famous for its world-class SCUBA diving and snorkeling ("better than the Barrier Reef", according to one Australian).
Or perhaps you would like to visit the coral reclamation beach at Pemuteran to the west, which is like swimming in an aquarium. There are also spectacular waterfalls(Sekumpul, Les, Git Git), trek around volcanic lakes (Lake Buyan, Tamblingan, and Beratan), hot springs, a turtle farm, a pearl farm, coffee plantations, golfing in a volcano's caldera about 2 hours away, and even mountain trekking and spiritual temple tours available.
With Balinese and Javanese style interior decor, this luxury hideaway has three bedrooms, each with their own en suite bathroom, two with more than king-sized beds and one with two singles. There are also two traditional Indonesian 'day beds' - one in the study and one in the main living area - so the villa can sleep and accommodate up to 8 people, if needed.
Group bookings of 6-8 people are the most economical as the 'per head' cost is lower. The main bedroom offers particularly spectacular views through windows across the front and has an exclusive entrance door to its own 'private garden' and private gazebo, to the rear of the villa. Downstairs there is even a large media and games room.
There is a currently a booking special for guest who book 7 nights (they get one of the nights free) and for guests who book 30 nights (they get 3 of these nights free).
