Approximately 150-million dollar assets from this entity will contribute to SoFi’s overall properties, and this acquisition gets SoFi to access the federal banking system. 750-million dollars will be contributed in capital so SoFi can pursue its OG plan of getting your money right through digital finance. In technical terms, this business combination will make better banking offers that we need to look out for. It will come along with differentiated checking and savings accounts for easy budgeting, automated savings, and a more user-friendly interface. On top of that, SoFi is set to give an offer of an industry-leading annual percentage yield up to 1.00% for members–this means you can earn this annual percentage yield interest on the first 50,000 direct deposits for the checking and savings accounts. –AND THAT’S 33 TIMES the national average interest on balances.
