Ekahau - Field Engineer - Instructions (Passive survey)

Instructional quick start video for Field Engineers

1. Install Ekahau
2. Login with credentials
3. Watch the video
4. Ensure all gear is working well and attached (   • Ekahau - Field Engineer - Survey in c...  )
a. Mouse, pointer mouse, controller, pen
b. Wireless NIC - ENSURE NIC ADAPTER IS ON; DO NOT CONNECT TO WIRELESS NETWORKS
5. Scale the floor plan
6. Click on Survey mode
7. Try a Point N GO capture to ensure the program is working
8. Find a good starting point and click
a. In hallways and large open spaces - use "CONTINUOUS"
b. In smaller rooms/offices, closets, stairwells, and restrooms - use "POINT N GO"
9. Save the data under "FILE...Save"
10. Upload the floor plan to FILE ...."Ekahau Cloud Save/Load"
