How To Fix Your Dryer Smell Like Wet Dog (How To Get Rid Of Dog Smell In Your Dryer). In this video tutorial I will show you how to fix dryer smell like wet dog.

Your dryer smells like wet dog because of moisture in the lint screen, debris in the drum and vent, or mold infestation. To fix these;
Clean the lint screen.
 Switch off your dryer and remove the lint screen.
 Use your hands to remove excess lint, then rinse using running water.
 Use a soft bristle brush, mild detergent, or vinegar to remove fabric softener from the lint screen.
 Air-dry the lint screen before reinstalling it in your washer.

Clean the drum and vent.
 Unplug your dryer and detach the vent duct.
 Attach a nozzle to your vacuum cleaner to remove lint from the vent and drum.
 Use a damp cloth and mild detergent to wipe the drum’s interior.
 Use a brush attachment to agitate stubborn debris in your dryer’s exhaust vent.
 Once done, reattach the vent duct and restore power to your dryer.

Inspect your dryer for mold and mildew
 Inspect the door seal, gasket, and drum for mold or mildew.
 Mix white vinegar and water to clean the affected areas.
 Once done, let the interior dry before using the dryer. If the odor persists, use undiluted bleach.
 Finally, dampen a towel in cold water and place it in the dryer. Run your appliance in the lowest setting to remove excess bleach.
