Is this truly one of the earliest 1911s ever made, can it be salvaged? And was it used in a crime? We're inspecting one of the earliest Colt 1911 pistols to see if it's an original US Army model that was used in WWI. It came to our shop under very suspicious circumstances...it might have actually been used in a crime!
