Here's a full in-depth review of the 2001 Jaguar XKR Silverstone. This vehicle is the very last Jaguar XKR Silverstone to be sold in the United States, with an original sale date of November 2nd, 2000 for $107,000. These special edition XKR coupes were only sold in platinum silver and featured upgraded Brembo brakes both front and rear, retuned steering for quicker response and better feedback, retuned dampers with Jaguar's CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension) system that monitors road conditions to adapt the ride firmness for different road conditions, Birdseye Maple wood trim on the dashboard and door panels, red accent stitching on the steering wheel, center console, seats, and door panels, and 20-inch two-piece BBS aluminum wheels with Pirelli PZero summer performance tires. The Silverstone coupe is differentiated from the available convertible by a 10 mm lower ride height and a performance suspension "Handling Pack" that revises the CATS system for better handling and contains thicker front and thinner rear anti-roll bars.The vehicle contains a 4.0L supercharged V8 engine with 370 hp and 387 ft-lbs of torque driving the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission that features a sport mode for better throttle response, automatic starting in first gear from a stop, and shift points higher in the rev-range. This particular model has an Adamesh catback exhaust that adds approximately 20 hp and 13 ft-lbs of torque, bringing the total engine power at the crankshaft to 390 hp and 400 ft-lbs of torque.
